The head coach of Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane spent a weekend in St. Petersburg, Spain’s Marca Journal reported.

During his trip, Zidane visited Mariinsky Theatre, Hermitage Museum and walked around the Palace Square. The football legend also posted some pictures of the St. Petersburg city center to Instagram.

FC Real Madrid spokesman Juan Camilo Andrade said that this was not an official journey. The Spanish national championship is currently on pause due to the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Zidane took advantage of the break to go to Russia for a quick vacation.

According to the authorities, St. Petersburg was the most popular tourist destination in Russia in the summer. The Krestovsky Stadium in St. Petersburg will host the first semi-final and the third place match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
