Nizhny Novgorod’s hotels will be ready to host the guests by the end of 2017, the deputy governor of Nizhny Novgorod said.

Nizhny Novgorod will host six matches of FIFA World Cup 2018, including last 16 match and quarterfinals.

In the first quarter of 2018, the hotels will be ready to accommodate FIFA and the World Cup Organizing Committee officials.

“We discussed the issue of hosting fans with the Organizing Committee,” deputy governor Dmitry Svatkovskiy said.

He added that every year the number of tourists visiting FIFA World Cup cities increases by 50-70%. The official said it’s a great  opportunity to stimulate Nizhny Novgorod’s tourism.
