The transport department of Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod has developed 46 routes for FIFA World Cup 2018 guests, the city administration said.

“These routes will link major facilities that will host events of the World Cup. Football stadium, Nizhny Novgorod Train station and Strigino airport  are the key objects,” said Dmitry Brylin, the city’s road traffic organization chief.

According to him, all roads with four or more lanes will include special priority lanes for urban passenger transport and fans’ shuttles.

The authorities also plan to build two municipal parkings for 4,000 cars each. Smaller additional parkings will be located at major shopping centers, the stadium, the venue of fans festival and on the main highways.

Nizhny Novgorod is a 1.2-million population city 400 kilometers east of Moscow. It will host six matches of FIFA World Cup 2018. The city administration expects about 60,000 people to visit.
