Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow will spend over $800 million for building new facilities, CEO Mikhail Vasilenko said.

Airport will open new objects by the beginning of 2018 FIFA World Cup.

“Сonstruction of terminal B will cost $305 million, the passage between terminals - $245 million, freight village - $85 million, refuelling station - $150 million. We are planning to finish construction by December 2017», Vasilenko said.

He added that $80 million will be allocated to reconstruction of terminal C in 2018.

Сlose to 50 million passengers are expected to pass through Sheremetyevo in 2018 and 80 million in 2022.

Moscow’s Sheremetyevo is the biggest airport in Russia.

Luzhniki Stadium in the Russian capital will host both the opening match and final of the 2018 World Cup.
