"GirlPower" football school will host a conference on developing women’s football in Moscow on October 28, the school wrote in its Facebook.
“We’ll do everything for women’s football in Russia to develop… so that girls in every city of the country would have a place to learn how to play football and wouldn’t surprise anyone or provoke stupid jokes,” the Facebook posting said.
The organizers said they want to make women’s football as common as women’s tennis. "GirlPower" wants to study the cases of successful women in business, sports and culture. The guests will discuss steps to make female coaches of football clubs a reality in 10 years from now.
The conference will take place at Moscow’s CSKA stadium. It’s free to attend after a registration on Timepad.
In the summer of 2018, eleven Russian cities, including Moscow will host the FIFA World Cup.
