Rostov-on-Don is a thriving city in southern Russia, located near the Azov Sea.

The area around Rostov-on-Don is the third more populated cluster in Russia after Moscow and St.Petersburg. The city center is full of old mansions and tenement buildings of XIX ad early XX century.

The Rostov region is the center of Cossack culture. The Cossacks, historically border guards of Russia known for their love for freedom, used to settle on the Don river. There are still traditional Cossack villages.

Rostov Arena is the new stadium, under construction for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It has seats for 45,000 spectators and is scheduled to host 5 matches, including a round-of-16 knockout stage match.
