Film fixer FAQ in Russia and former USSR countries

Do you have your own fixers in each country you operate in?

SOAR PRODUCTIONS is constantly expanding the network of its own fixers. In each country we operate, we have our own fixer, or at least a location manager or a location scout. However, depending on how difficult a project is, we may have to travel a line producer, or a fixer from Moscow.

Do your fixers speak English?

All our Russia-based fixer are bilingual. So are those who work for us in the countries we operate in.

Can you provide us with a local fixer in Armenia?

Being absolutely gorgeous country, Armenia has a very limited market of TV and film professionals. Especially those speaking English and having international experience. Therefore our recommendation would be to travel one of our fixers to Armenia. We have fixers, experienced in successful productions in the country.

Can you provide us with a local fixer in Azerbaijan?

Azerbaijan is a great country to produce in, however the number of internationally experienced English speaking fixers is limited. We recommend to travel one of our fixers to Azerbaijan, although most of the prep will be done by a local location manager/scout.

Can you provide us with a local fixer in Estonia?

Yes, absolutely. However due to availability we might have to travel a fixer from neighboring Latvia, which is only a few hours drive.

Can you provide us with a local fixer in Georgia?

It depends on the difficulty of the project. For some productions we would highly recommend to travel a fixer from Russia, although most of the prep will be done by a local location manager/scout.

Can you provide us with a local fixer in Kazakhstan?

Despite of its huge territory Kazakhstan lacks professional fixers. In fact, there none English speaking ones. Hence, we recommend to travel a fixer from Russia. We We have fixers, experienced in successful productions in the country.

Can you provide us with a local fixer in Kyrgyzstan?

Kyrgyzstan is one of the most film and TV friendly countries in the world. However the unfortunate fact is that there are no English speaking fixers there. So, we would need to travel a fixer from Russia, although the whole prep will be done by our local team.

Yes, absolutely.

Yes, absolutely.
